Section 232 Tariffs Lifted Between USA, Japan and EU

A new Section 232 tariff agreement has been agreed between Japan and the USA. Japanese steel products entering US markets will no longer be subject to the 25% tariffs imposed during the Trump administration. A similar agreement was reached between the US and the EU commencing 1 January 2022. No similar agreement has yet been reached with the UK although discussions between the UK and US continue.
