THE BUSINESS OF INTERNATIONAL TRADE
The Saudi Export Development Authority (SEDA) said that 900 companies had joined the “Made in Saudi” programme registering over 2,000 registered products since its launch in March 2021 under the auspices of Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman. The program groups goods into 16 different sectors including chemicals, polymers, building materials, electronics, and packaging. One of the aims is to increase and develop Saudi non-oil exports and boost the attractiveness of the Saudi industrial sector for local and foreign investment. The “Made in Saudi” programme plays a major role in achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by supporting local content and directing purchasing power towards local products and services promoting products locally and globally, where they can use the program’s logo “Saudi industry”.
