BAHRAIN: Exports Rise 62%

Bahrain’s exports of national origin increased by 62% to BD327 million ($862 million) during July 2021 according to the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA). Saudi Arabia ranked first among countries receiving Bahraini exports of national origin, with the United States in second place, followed by Egypt. Unwrought aluminium alloyed, agglomerated iron ores and concentrates and semi-finished iron and steel were the top 3 exported products. Top re-exported products were portable digital automatic data processing machines (computer to you and me), parts for telephones and parts for aircraft engines.

During the same period the value of imports increased by 10%, reaching BD418 million during July 2021 compared to the same month of 2020. Brazil ranked first when it came to imports to Bahrain, China was second and then the UAE. Non-agglomerated iron ores and concentrates was reported as the top product imported into Bahrain, aluminium oxide and four-wheel drive cars in third place.
