The Department for International Trade (DIT) has unveiled two free to use digital tools which will assist businesses trade through UK borders.
The tools, which are available from the UK's Gov.UK website, offer detailed information on product-specific and country-specific regulations, tariffs, and other topics, offering a one stop shop for businesses who are planning to, or currently, trading internationally.
Check How to Export Goods - www.gov.uk/check-duties-customs-exporting
One of DIT's tools offers information specifically for businesses seeking to export products from the UK to the rest of the world. The tool provides information on duties, customs procedures and other relevant guidelines on exporting from the UK to over 160 worldwide markets. This particular tool also sources information from other Government departments, including HMRC and Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
Trade with the UK - www.gov.uk/get-rules-tariffs-trade-with-uk
The second of DIT's new tools provides information for businesses exporting goods into the UK. Particularly as new developments with tariffs, regulations and taxes come into place during the next few years post-Brexit, this tool will offer international businesses a useful location for updates.
